Introduction  

I am a dancer-choreographer and dance teacher.
I have experience on the dance field since 1989.
I tried several types of dance. (Modern dances: Limon-, Graham-, and Hammad-techniques; Jazz; Fashion Dance; Ballroom Dance).

When I was 25 years old, I attended at and graduated from a modern dance teacher course and later from a choreographer course too. Mainly I work as a teacher and as a choreographer.

I was the competitor of the International Dance Organization (IDO), now I work as the IDO’s judge; on the competitions organized by the IDO with my partners I was European-, World- and World Cup Champion in the categories of mambo, Argentine tango, hot blues and show dance.

I am the leader and the choreographer of the Argentine Tango Dance Theatre and the president of the Tango Dance Theatre Association which was founded in 2004; my last shows were on in the National Dance Theatre with great success. To make these shows we got help from the National Cultural Fund (Hungarian abbreviation “NKA”) and from the National Dance Theatre. The show titled as “Seasons in Buenos Aires” was presented to the public in 2002 and was renewed in 2004 and showed around Hungary on art festivals; the show titled as “Tango Express” were presented at the beginning of 2005; the show titled as “Soul-Strings” (in Hungarian: “Lélekhúrok”) (tango-flamenco), my work together with Andrea Lippai, was ready at the end of 2005.

My works as a choreographer – amongst others:
shows of Enikő Eszenyi (Hungarian actress) titled as “Kisses of Thighs” and „Ping-swing”; made the dance parts in the drama showed in Theatre Radnóti titled as „Störr kapitány”; choreographing one piece in the show “Amazons and Madonnas” of BM Duna Művészegyüttes; participating in the choreographing of the drama titled as “Sewers” (in Hungarian: “Varrónők”) in the Theatre Pesti; and choreographing parts in the Operett Theatre of the show titled as “Ball in the Savoy”; this show was presented first in 2004 on the Spring Festival. I also appeared in this shows as guest star.

I teach Argentine tango from Monday to Friday, also I am an invited teacher at the Hungarian Dance Academy and at the Film Academy.
In 2007 I started a special course for professional tango dancers.

Invited by foreign dance clubs, I taught in St. Petersburg, in Moscow, in Tomsk, in Kolone, in Ljubljana, in Belgrad, in Padova, in Bologna, in Guamba (USA), in Sarajevo, in Vienna, in Rijeka and in Tokio. I made workshops in 2007 in Sarajevo, in Bielsko-Biala (Poland), and, to my great pleasure, in Cuba.
A number of couples come to Budapest to have me help them to improve their knowledge.

In the last years I participated in organising of festivals, workshops, tango shows to where I invited the best tango-couples from the world.  I receive acknowledgeable help from the members of the Argentine Tango Dance Theatre, from the National Dance Theatre and from the NKA. 

I, myself also participate on different international festivals and workshops, and from 1995 I learn technique, didactic and style from several Argentine masters.

Since 1989 I competed at the IDO's competitions on local and foreign championships. From 1993 I was amongst the finalists.
I was first a mambo champion in 1996 and in 1997 and 1998 I was European and World Cup Champion in Argentine tango, hot blues and show dance.

I was Argentine tango World Champion in 2003 and in 2004. Nowadays I only participate in competitions outside Hungary and acting as a judge on IDO competitions. 

In November 2007 a documentary was made about me, the tango, Budapest and Buenos Aires with the help of the Duna TV.
This documentary participated in the contest of the Budapest Film Parade

Lately, during the fall 2008 Maria Glotz and me participated at the Olimpiad in Korea (finalists), in Japan at the Liberatad Competition (3rd place) with a great succes.

We held succesfull courses and performans in Russia, at St. Petersburg, Tomsk and Vladivostok in 2009.

Since September 2009 my partner is Andrea Pirity with whom we had workshops in Tomsk, Vienna, Bologna, St. Petersburg and Sarajevo. (You can find out more of their work together here...)

Other Recognition:

  • For several years I received the tributes “Sport Dancer of the Year” and Sport Dancer Special Prize.
  • I received the “Euro Pass” Prize in the category of couple dances from the periodical “Dance Art” (in Hungarian “Táncművészet”).
  • Award „For the activity in the propagation of the Latin-American culture” .
